How do we split the royalties if I commercially release a song after I purchased a beat?

The first step is to purchase the beat that you want (add the selected song to your basket directly from the player and just follow to check-out instructions).

After that and if you commercially release your song, whatever if it’s digital (Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, etc..) or physical (CDs, Vinyls, cassettes, etc..) this will generate royalties.

Each piece of music has 2 masters: Master Recordings and Music Publishing, and they both generate different royalties. If you are not familiar with this you can check this help article from Songtrust that explains the difference between these 2 masters.

  • Master Recordings: You keep 100% of the royalties (this is the master that will generate the most revenue)
  • Music Publishing: As a music producer I take 50% of the publishing (this is standard practice). The remaining will be split between the other artists on the track.

Royalty splits are the same whatever the type of beat (from the Beats With Sample or the Beats Without Samples players) or the type of license (WAV – non exclusive or Exclusive Unlimited) that you buy.

Please note that for each song including a sample (they are all category C from Tracklib, less than 15sec), you will have to share 10% of both the Mater Recording and Publishing royalties with Tracklib.
All beats with Tracklib samples have the Gramophone logo (as opposed to the MPC logo) and it’s also always written in each beat description.

Depending of your project and if you wish to negociate, please feel free to DM or email me and let’s discuss the details.

What is the difference between the beats with or without samples, and do I need to contact other parties before making commercial usage with it?

I own 100% of the rights of the beats from the Beats Without Samples player. No 3rd party samples, midi pack or anything else that you need to worry about.

All beats on the Beats With Sample player include one (never more than one) Tracklib sample. Since I keep the rights of the instrumental, I will be paying for the License.

On your side, you will need to share 10% of all of your revenue with Tracklib. Please send me an email as soon as you purchase one of those beats and I will provide you with the sample details.

You can also read more info directly on the Tracklib Help Center.

How do I clear my Tracklib sample if I buy a beat from the Beats With Samples player?

Since I keep the rights of the instrumental, I will be paying for the License.

On your side, you will need to share 10% of all of your revenue with Tracklib.

Please send me an email as soon as you purchase one of those beats and I will provide you with the sample details. You can also read more info directly on the Tracklib Help Center.

I have seen music on your social media but I cannot find it on your players, is that beat available?

Please just send me an email with the link of the post with that music / beat and I will come back to you as soon as possible.

Do you offer any type of discounts?

At the moment I have enabled the following offer : Buy 2 tracks, get 1 Free!

But depending on your project and your needs, please do not hestitate to email me if you need to discuss the price as well as the terms and conditions.

I have seen music on License & Sync Music that I would like to use as a beat as a singer / rapper, is that possible?

I cannot guarantee it. Basically contracts for sync licensing (License & Sync Music) are quite different. Just send me an email with the link of the song that you would like to use and what do you want to do with it. I will always try to arrange it for you if I can.

Do you do custom beats?

I’m always open to suggestions!

The only thing I would say is that you need to keep an open mind. Sometimes people can have a very specific and limited idea of what they want, and that can sometimes lead to disappointments, but I’m more than happy to discuss that with you so feel free to contact me with your idea and we’ll go from there!
